I think this is the best career path for me to take. I love to be creative. I loved helping my significant other with coming up with games for his 8th grade math class. I loved helping him grade his papers. I loved helping him organize his lessons that he used  and put them in a folder for the month so he could reuse if needed the next year. That is when I decided what I wanted to do as a profession. 

After completing this course, I am more excited now, than I ever was when I decided my profession. At first I was a bit worried. Having dyslexia has been a struggle in my life. I never thought I could be a teacher of all things. So I decided to take this course to find out if I am capable to be one. This class was so fun and extensive, I was able to learn what teaching is about. I was able to complete this class without feeling like I wasn't capable of it. 

 I was nervous the first day of my service learning class, I was able to watch how much fun the kids and the teachers were having. I was able to see how teachers handled students that were not following the rules. I was able to see how the teacher was able to create time to help children on an individual bases.  I was able to see first hand what I would be doing as a teacher. It was exciting.  The service learning was amazing. It made me realize everything a teacher has to do to manage a classroom. The teachers would tell me how much they loved teaching and never have regretted their decision.

My next step is to continue taking the education pre-requisites. I need to enter into my bachelors program. I also need to get through my required math courses. I will continue on with getting my  teaching degree. The only thing that worries me is passing the exams I need to get into the program. I am the worst test taker. I am hoping to do well the first time and become a teacher very soon. I am ecstatic to become a teacher. It cannot come soon enough.
